Madhuri Dixit has a star named after her in Orion constellation

Decades have passes since Madhuri Dixit swept the world off its feet with her grace and charms with her first hit ‘Tezaab’ in 1984. Then she gave a series of superhits with Ram Lakhan, Saajan, Dil, Beta, Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Dil To Pagal Hai. Then, she took some years off when she married doctor Nene and shifted to US. Now, she is back once again with reality shows and a few flicks. She will next be seen in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Dedh Ishqiya and Anubhav Sinha’s Gulab Gang.

Now, Madhuri has another feather added to her crown of achievements. She has a star named after her shinning in sky which happened due to the efforts of her fans.

A group of 13 members of The Empress Fanpage met the actress Thursday on the sets of dance reality show “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa”, which she is judging, to present her the star certificate.

The certificate by Star Foundation reads: “A celestial body in the sky above has been named in honour of Madhuri Dixit-Nene and is officially located in the constellation Orion.”

Not to mention here that Madhuri is overwhelmed by this honour. She tweeted:
“Wanted to thank my fans for the honour. They had a star in the Orion constellation named after me.”

Madhuri Dixit Signs Her Next With Anubhav Sinha

s
Exuberant, Vibrant, Beautiful, Vulnerable, Gentle and Sweet are few terms that best describe this person and her personality. From Abodh to Aaja Nachle, she has ruled the hearts of millions of Indians. A smile that has broken a million hearts, a face that increased many a heart beat, her moves made the entire nation dance with her. And to all Madhuri Dixit fans out there, we have some very good news!
Official announcements have been made and it is confirmed that post her comeback film, Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Dedh Ishqiya’, Bollywood’s Chandramukhi will don the lead role in Anubhav Sinha’s next. While the other contemporaries today are mesmerized by the charm and beauty of Mrs. Nene, all eyes are set on her who actually is considered to be the ultimate queen when it comes to expressions. The power of expressions and emotions blended with her ability to portray all kinds of roles is a testament to the talent and versatility that is stored within the soft speaking actress.
After taking a sabbatical from films post Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s epic Devdas, she returned back to the nation and filmdom with ‘Aaja Nachle’ which had a rather dismal performance at the box office. Soon she packed her bags again until she finally had a homecoming of sorts being a judge on television reality show, ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’. The season created record breaking TRP ratings, the result of which they have signed Madhuri for yet another season of Jhalak. Soon after her appearance on the sets of the dance based reality show, offers started pouring in. But this time, Mads made sure she made the right choice. And voila! While the actress sent the media into a tizzy by announcing her comeback project on Twitter, the second project was supposedly kept under the wraps for sometime. Anubhav Sinha’s next titled ‘Gulab Gang’ will have Madhuri essay the role of the female protagonist who fight against all odds, especially against the ills that plague the Indian society. She plays the gang leader in this definitive film set against the backdrop of the Indian environment, providing a social message at the end. Conceptualized by Anurbhav Sinha and Soumik Sen, the film will also mark the directorial advent for Soumik. Based on real life situations, the producer has also zeroed in on for a perfect day for its release. The film is slated for a March 8, 2013 release which is also celebrated as World Women’s Day. It could not have been better than this, for sure. The film’s shoot starts by the end of this year after Madhuri completes her film with Vishalji and her stint back on television. The makers of ‘Gulab Gang’ are reportedly trying to rope in the sensational and unconventional Mahie Gill and the aggressive Shilpa Shukla to complete the girl gang.
While there was a national debate going on Madhuri demanding 5 crores a film, taking herself to be at par with the younger actresses, some even felt that she had lost all her charm and no producer would sign her up at such a heavy risk. But Madhuri has put all her critics to rest by clearly showing that her Star Power can still skip a million heartbeats worldwide. The two back to back announcements are brave testament to the statement that was made largely in the late ‘80s and the ‘90s!
In a recent interview, Madhuri had called Vidya to be the Star of the year for her effortless performance in ‘The Dirty Picture’. A recent tabloid speculated that Vidya has achieved a feat which onto to an extent, Kajol and Madhuri could do: draw a crowd to the theatre! So with Madhuri gearing up for her third innings in the industry and coincidentally stepping into her old shoes, will she be able to live up to all the expectations? Will the immense euphoria and mass hysteria surrounding the 44 year old diva help her deliver big on screen yet again? Will she be able to make all the hearts around her go dhak dhak to her beats? For that, we will just have to wait and watch!
Meanwhile what’s in news is that a certain storm named Madhuri is all set to hit the Bollywood industry with her aadayein, nazakat and her killing moves again! Hope the other industry divas survive the storm! You bet!

Don’t approach Madhuri Dixit, if you don’t have Rs. 5 crores

Mumbai: Madhuri Dixit is undoubtedly the real beauty of Bollywood trade. She is the one who has enticed the moviegoers with her oomph factor, dancing skills and marvelous acting in her heydays. But still this beauty queen, who has turned aged, is regarded high among her fans living in every part of the world. The Dhak Dhak lady always brings values to the brands she endorses. The brands show their interest in fetching her in the campaigns since they know that her name sells.
Ever since Madhuri has landed in Mumbai with her family to settle here (as both Dixit and her husband Dr. Nene shows interest in settling here in Mumbai now), she has been approached by the number of producers and the brands. But majority of them have to return back empty-handedly since the actress asks for the price, they do not want to take risk on.
Ms. Dixit’s quoted price for brand endorsements is in between of Rs. 1 to 3 crores per deal and for films, she quotes in between Rs. 4 to Rs. 5 crores per movie.
Madhuri’s price quotes are equal to those of Bollywood’s biggies Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Vidya Balan charge. This shows Madhuri considers her equal to them. Thus signing Madhuri is so much expensive. She is undoubtedly the much-famed woman of Bollywood who once enjoyed the peak of success in Hindi film industry, but post her re-entry to Bollywood in her old age (when even the wrinkles have also started showing off from her face) she was seen as a solo in just one film ‘Aaja Nach Laye’ that flopped badly at the box office. Therefore the producers do not want to take risk after paying the super high price to the actress.
Madhuri Dixit’s husband Dr. Nene too is looking for a good career-oriented job at some high profile hospital in Mumbai these days.
