Hot and happening Urvashi Sharma has always been known as a pretty face. She first started her career in modelling only to turn towards the acting field later. The famous director duo of Abba-Mustan launched Urvashi in their thriller Naqaab. The movie had Urvashi in the lead role opposite Bobby Deol and Akshaye Khanna. The beautiful actress held her own against the two acting stalwarts and gave a very mature performance. Though her acting career didn’t work out as she would have hoped for, she did manage to stay in the limelight.
Urvashi was born October 29th 1980 in Delhi. She has two siblings. The chirpy actress first appeared in advertisements for renowned brands such as Ponds, Garnier, Airtel, Tanishq, McDonals and many others! She then went on to appear in the music videos of Mika’s Something Something and Atif’s Doori. Both songs became extremely popular, which earned Urvashi universal fame.
The actress was then signed for the Tips films venture Naqaab. The movie didn’t do well but Urvashi did manage to raise some eyebrows. Her seductive Salsa with Akshaye Khanna on the mesmerising Ek Din Song is still remembered by many! Her sensuous kissing scene also became a talking point then.
She found roles difficult to come by and played bit part roles in films like Khatta Meetha. The actress very recently featured in an ad video for i10 with Shah Rukh Khan, which was applauded by many! Urvashi has now got settled with her entrepreneur-actor husband Sachin Joshi.
