Chennai: Kareena Kapoor is to perform at tonight’s launching ceremony of IPL Season 5 in Chennai. But still the organizers are mum on the matter. They are showing ignorance about Kapoor’s performance at the event. But Kareena’s spokesman reveals it all. She is scheduled to do her gig tonight where other Bollywood celebs, regional stars and Katy Perry are to perform. The likes of Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra and others are all set to deliver their goods at the opening ceremony.Kareena is in Bangkok these days for the filming of an ad film. She is shooting for a shampoo ad there, thus for her to come tonight in Chennai seems quite difficult rather impossible. But the organizers of IPL want Kareena’s performance at any cost. Thus as per the sources, they have arranged a chartered flight for Kareena to fetch her from Bangkok to Chennai today. She will perform there and then the flight will board her back to Bangkok.
Kareena’s performance will cost the organizers ‘Wizcraft Entertainment’ very high since the chartered flight will cost them around Rs. 20 lakhs and the same amount (Rs. 20 lakhs) will cost them for her performance at the event. She is expected to dance on the medely of songs from her popular movies – RA.One, Bodyguard and 3 Idiots.
It has also been learnt that Preity Zinta, the owner of IPL team Kings XI Punjab, might not be seen in the tournament quite often. Well, she is the one who is widely seen in the matches during the season to cheer up her team. But this time she says she may not be seen often due to her debut production Ishq in Paris’ shooting. Likewise Shilpa Shetty too will not be seen during the season since she is pregnant and the doctors have instructed her to stay back home.
