After a long gap, Soha Ali Khan is returning to the big screen again. A musical, SOUNDTRACK features her along with Rajeev, both of whom are playing two matured youngsters who are physically disabled. Due to such characterization, Soha gets emotional as she remembers how her dad too had fought quite a few battles as he challenged all adversities pertaining to physical handicap and still moved up in his career.“My dad had lost one eye but still went on to overcome all obstacles and ended up captaining the Indian cricket team. Everyone said that it would be impossible for him to even face a single delivery but he managed due to his strong conviction,” Soha says with pride in her voice, “I took a cue from that and approached my character in a similar manner.
This young woman I play has a speech impediment but then her other senses are well in place to allow her to live her life happily. It is with this confidence that I motivate Rajeev’s character as well who is quite disillusioned after finding out that he wasn’t able to hear well.”
