Masumeh Makhija was born on 10th October, 1984 in Canada. Well known as Masumi Makhija, she is an actress of Indian origin having played roles in both Hindi and German movie. She shifted from Canada to India when she was just one year old.
Masumi Makhija was initially seen in many commercials as a child artist and she also did appearances in TV shows in her childhood. The actress then finally made her debut in the Hindi movie Chupke Se and then from there glided through her career in Hindi cinema. She is an award winning actress and very highly acclaimed for her performances. The actress has also appeared in the German movie named ‘Gate To Heaven’. Masumi is sister of famous director Shona Urvashi. Some of Masumi’s noticeable works are ‘Saas Bahu Aur Sensex’ which was directed by her sister Shona Urvashi and was a P.L.A. Entertainment and Warner Brothers joint production. The film released in the year 2009. She was also seen in the multi starrer movie Dus Kahaniya by Hansal Mehta in the year 2008. She was also seen in a role in the Sajid Khan movie ‘Heyy Baby’. She was nominated as the breakthrough artist for her role in Who Lamhe in 2008. She also got nominated as the best supporting actress for her movie Maqbool in 2006. The movie was directed by Vishal Bharadwaj. Her German movie managed to bag the award for actor in a lead role in 2004. It is the same year her first Hindi movie released.
